I design and create unique, hand poured, scented faux food and drink candles, and I've been doing this for about four years. Prior to that, I've been crafting and creating one thing or another my entire life, from sewing to needlepoint to scrapbooking. There's something about taking a little bit of this and a little bit of that, and pulling it all together to create a whole piece, that just intrigues me. It amazes me that so many pieces can come together and become something beautiful. Making candles is just one way of doing that.
Detail is important to me. Each of my faux food and drink candles is hand crafted and fine-tuned to achieve a realistic version of the real food or drink item. All are original designs, and in many cases the molds used are from my own exclusive design collection. The scents that I use have been safety tested, and all of the candle ingredients used are created specifically for candle use. I use a combination of gel wax, soy wax and blended wax.
